Station Arts Centre
The “Station Arts Refresh” began January 2021. Sarah MacMillan worked closely with the staff at the Station to plan various upgrades and renovations that would give the building a fresh feel while still honouring the beauty and tradition of this heritage building. After months of meetings and preparations, work began in the fall of 2021.
Sarah MacMillan was heavily involved in the project from concept to completion. She created detailed drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and millwork drawings. Searching for the perfect materials, finishes and fixtures was also part of the scope of work, along with coordinating orders, communicating with trades, and sourcing new furniture.
The freshly renovated space has been warmly received by the community as it reopened to the public in the spring of 2022. The renovation has made it possible for the Arts Centre to provide a wider range of arts programming, event hosting, classes, live concerts, and so much more.
